I must say, I’m very excited about how this shawl is coming out. I’m on Row 80. It looks beautiful.

My favorite parts are the little cables.

And I started Liana’s Christmas socks. I’m making her the Kai-Mei socks by Cookie A. She picked out the pattern and she fell in love with the Dream in Color Starry yarn that Shelly bought for me.

 

I’m loving the yarn so far. It holds together nicely and has great definition. It’s not all fuzzy. The last pair I made her was practically felting as I knit them!

And summer is here in full swing:

Emmet was treated to a visit from Grandma:

And a visit from Aunt Shelly:

And a visit from “Angelina” (That’s how he says Aunt Janina.)

But now I must get back to knitting. After all, I have a whole lot of yarn to get through…

108 rows to go.

I finished the Nutkin socks. They’re very twisty. And they slouch a lot….I might make them again only with ribbing at the cuff.

And got ready to knit another pair for my sister’s Christmas present. (Below is my new swift and my mom. )

She already picked out a pattern, which I’ll reveal when I get them started.

 THIS is HALF of my Christmas gift from my sister Shelly.  I am a lucky girl.

I just started a new shawl a couple days ago.

It’s called Batik by Kitman Figueroa. Her shawls are absolutely gorgeous. It wasn’t easy deciding which one to make. I’m now on Row 16. Only 134 rows to go!

The yarn is a skein I bought from Light Brown Hare. She supplied me with 3 of the most beautiful skeins of yarn I’ve ever seen. I will have to take a picture of the other 2 and post them to show you. I know you’re excited.

Anyway, I have so much to post about, however work’s been busy and my mom was staying with me for a week and my cat died and I had 4 birthday parties to take my son to and therefore……well, I just didn’t have the time to tell about any of it.

But I will.
