Queen Anne’s Lace

So, this is what’s on the needles as of yesterday. It’s going to be a shawl called Queen Anne’s Lace. I love working in the round, it’s my favorite way to knit, but I HATE starting things from the center in the round. I don’t know if I’m the only one who feels this way, or if there are others out there like me. I almost threw this project across the room 50 times. It took many hours just to get the first couple of rows done! But done they are, and now it’s starting to look like something. I’m excited.

14 rows done!

A new blog!

My husband has been working on this new blog for me FOREVER. Now he is finished and I LOVE the new look. And I’m inspired to blog again! Tune in very soon to see some new pictures of my projects that are waaayy overdue.

Tim and Maiya’s baby blanket

This blanket was very fun to make. The very beginning was hard, you start at the center, and i was trying to start at the center with 4 needles and i tried it about 15 times before i decided to try with 3 needles and that helped…still very hard though. But once past the beginning 3 rows, it became fun!! Here is a picture of it being blocked. I found the pattern on Ravelry…free pattern. And here’s my peony bush that i planted last year, giving me gorgeous flowers for the first time! Hooray for summer! I also have Columbines that my mom bought and planted for me when she came to visit a few weeks ago….i’d never seen these before but i love them. Now i’m making Juno Regina and i hope to post some progress pictures soon.
